madParrot.com lists for FREE European e-shops in its directories. Our categories already contain around 1500+ references from all over Europe and thanks to your suggestions this number is increasing everyday. madParrot.com is becoming "the" European search engine for e-commerce web sites!
In fact, more and more "Europeans" are rewarded by the advantages offered by the European common market and particularly by the provisions that goods purchased in any EU country are exempt from custom duties.
While new legislations are being implemented - the "Directive 97/7/EC of the European Parliament on the Protection of Consumers in respect of Distance Contracts" (read more) paves the way to a more secure and easy way to handle possible disputes on cross border shopping - the main hurdle to the development of an European e-commerce economy remain the unavailability of resources to identify "reliable" merchants and customers. Internet studies reveal that the main concern towards on-line shopping is to identify the e-commerce merchant capable of providing a first class service and capable of gaining shoppers' trust. madParrot.com does not want the responsibility to rate merchants and/or customers, madParrot.com offers tools to build this trust.
madParrot.com provide its visitors with the ability to review the performance of the merchant they used for their shopping and therefore the ability to build a network of contacts and personal experiences to the benefit of other possible customers but particularly to the benefit of the quality e-businesses who want to actively participate to madParrot.com "Quality Shopping Assessment Programme" (QSAP). The enrolment in QSAP includes the free publishing of merchants' shop descriptions in madParrot.com directories along with the ability to advertise for free last minute offers on relevant products.
QSAP merchants allow customers to critically review their services and have the ability to comment on customer reviews and defend their positions in case of disputes (for more information on QSAP please write madparrot@madparrot.com).
